- Place the chopped peppers and salt in a blender and blend until it is smooth and of even consistency.

The authentic pimenta moida also has minced garlic added. I am from the Acores and we do not cook the pimenta but we add lots of salt and let it sit for a few days with only the salt and garlic. We then jar it.
