Ingredients

2 strips of pork ribsCoarse salt (to taste)3 crushed garlic clovesJuice from 1/2 lemon1 teaspoon of honey1 teaspoon of ground mild pepper

Get Portuguese ingredients

Preparation

  1. Season the ribs with the coarse salt and remaining ingredients, mix everything well, place the ribs with marinade in a sealable plastic bag and leave in the refrigerator for a few hours.
  2. Place the ribs with the marinade in a tray covered with aluminum foil and bake at 200ºC or 390ºF for about 45 minutes.
  3. After 45 minutes, remove the aluminum foil and bake for another 25 minutes, turning them over a couple of times so both sides are golden brown.

I’m guessing you could cook it low and slow, 300*F for 3 hours, then brown it as the recipe says in step #3 ?
Or would it be too tender and falling apart to do that?

Joe, on a slow cooker it will most likely be falling off the bone anyway, so I'm not sure you can avoid making it tender.
