2 cups water1 tsp salt1 1/4 cups coarse cornmeal1 cinnamon stick4 cups milk3/4 cup sugarGround cinnamon

Preparation
- In a saucepan, combine the water and salt and bring to a boil.
- Add the cornmeal and the cinnamon stick.
- Let it cook, stirring constantly with a whisk, until the water is absorbed completely.
- Gradually pour in the warm milk while stirring continuously, then add the sugar.
- Cook for about 10 minutes or until the mixture reaches a creamy consistency.
- Remove the cinnamon stick.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and pour the mixture into one or several individual bowls.
- Before serving, garnish with cinnamon sticks and ground cinnamon.
