Does the beat heavy cream have to be beaten first until thick? Or blend as a liquid?

This is a really good mousse alternative, just need to be more clear on the amount of gelatin needed. My first try turned out too jelly-like. I used the sheets and followed the instructions per amount of liquid....thoughts?

Sorry to hear that Christo, 1 sachet should be the equivalent of about 2 and 1/2 teaspoons of gelatin powder, the recipe asks for gelatin powder, not leaves, how many sheets/leaves did you use?
