4 large Portuguese buns (or another type of bread)6 eggs3/4 cup of sugar1/2 liter of milkZest from 1 orange1 tablespoon of vanilla extractLiquid caramel, for the form

Preparation

  1. Pour into a bowl the crumbled buns, milk, sugar, eggs, orange zest, and vanilla extract and beat all the ingredients in a blender until it becomes a homogenous mixture.
  2. Spread the caramel all over the inside of the pudding form, and pour the mixture in there.
  3. Bake in the oven in a water bath for about 50 minutes at a temperature of 200ºC or 390ºF.
  4. Once done, remove it from the oven, let it cool and place it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours still in the mold, this prevents it from breaking.
