Ingredients

14 oz (400g) thawed and peeled shrimp3/4 cup (7 fl oz / 200ml) coconut milkSalt to tasteBlack pepper to taste1/2 cube of fish, shrimp, or chicken bouillon1 tbsp butter or margarine1/2 onion, chopped1/4 cup (4 tbsp) tomato sauce1 tsp paprika2 tbsp cream cheese

Preparation

  1. In a pan, heat the butter and sauté the chopped onion until golden.
  2. Add the shrimp, season with salt and black pepper, and cook for 2 minutes, stirring to evenly brown.
  3. If the mixture is too dry, add 1/4 cup (60ml) of water. If the shrimp releases water, skip this step.
  4. Stir in the coconut milk, tomato sauce, bouillon cube, and paprika, and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Add the cream cheese, stir, and cook for another minute, then turn off the heat.
  6. Serve with a side of rice, pasta or fries.
