Ingredients

3 packages of Maria biscuits500 ml of heavy cream (35%)5 tablespoons of sugar5 tablespoons of instant coffee400ml of hot waterCocoa powder, to taste1, 9 inch non stick springform

Get Portuguese ingredients

Preparation

  1. Boil 400ml of water and in a bowl, dissolve the instant coffee and 4 tablespoons of sugar.
  2. Whip the heavy cream until it starts to thicken, then add 1 tablespoon of sugar to make it glossy.
  3. Starting with a layer of biscuits.
  4. Dip each biscuit in the coffee mixture one by one, letting them soften slightly (do not let them fall apart).
  5. Place the soaked biscuits on the bottom of the springform.
  6. Cover the biscuits with some whipped cream.
  7. Keep repeating with a layer of cookies and the cream until you use up all the whipped cream.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 5 hours.
  9. Before serving, sprinkle with cocoa powder.
