1 round bread (about 400g)200g grated cheese (Mozzarella, Emmental, or São Jorge cheese)70g diced ham200ml cream (I used low-fat)Salt to tasteGround white pepper to tasteDried oregano to tasteOlive oil to taste

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C or 400°F.
  2. Cut off the top of the bread.
  3. Carefully remove the interior and cut into cubes.
  4. Mix the cream with the grated cheese, diced ham, and season with salt, pepper, and dried oregano.
  5. Fill the bread with the mixture and sprinkle with more dried oregano.
  6. Cover the bread with aluminum foil to prevent burning.
  7. Bake for approximately 30 to 40 minutes, until the cheese melts and turns golden brown.
  8. Halfway through, drizzle with a little olive oil and add the bread cubes around the baking tray to toast.
